A Day at the Market

Every day we would make a trip to the market to buy food for our dinner. This video takes you through the maze of vendors to find some pork.

We work our way around to the seafood section. We bargain with the vendors as they compete to sell us their shrimp.

Then on to the vegatable section to buy "little tofu" for tonights diner. Check out the butterfly larva, I am glad we had no recipe for butterfly larva.

Embassy of Bowling

The first time I went to China to see my ling, I asked her if there was a bolwing alley in Fu Shun, and if so would she like to go bowling. Of course at the time, she did not speak any English so all of our communication was through a little hand-held translator device. So she translated my question and answered with a shake of her head...no.

Me: But I saw one on the way in to town, a building with a big bowling pin on the roof.

ling: We have an Embassy of Bowling, but no bowling street.

Douglas needs a strike in the 10th frame.

My ling sings to me at the bowling alley.

We are the same.
